Lessons Learned: Continued Bartender Education
Every day at The Esquire Tavern is an opportunity for our bartending staff to learn and refine their craft. As important as that hands-on experience is, there’s something to be said for stepping out from behind the bar and communing with peers and industry experts — which is exactly why we put an emphasis on the ongoing education of our talented team of bartenders. This week, we were excited to send one of our Head Bartenders to the annual TEXSOM (Texas Sommelier) Conference at the Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas, an event The Esquire Tavern has supported for the past two years by sponsoring our staff’s participation. Comprised of over 1,200 beverage professionals, TEXSOM attendees were mentored and educated on a wide variety of topics, from the chemistry of grapes and wines to the distinctive regional wine flavors found in Italy, Greece, New Zealand, and beyond.
